Terms of Service

Synopsist is a software-as-a-service platform that enables client-facing professionals — advisors, accountants, insurance agents, real estate agents, marketing agencies and others — to generate AI-powered executive summaries from meeting transcripts and phone calls. Features include manual transcript upload; automated integration with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Webex; recorded and transcribed phone calls where calling is enabled on the account; filing summaries into a connected CRM; cloud storage output to Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive; custom branding; and client email delivery of branded PDF and DOCX documents.

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or your firm. Synopsist is intended for professional use by financial advisors and wealth management professionals.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us immediately at support@synopsist.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.

Synopsist is offered on a subscription basis with the following tiers:

• New accounts may receive a 30-day free trial at our discretion, with no credit card required.
• After the trial, a paid subscription is required to continue using the service.
• Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically until cancelled.
• You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the billing period.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.
• All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store payment card information.

Summaries generated by Synopsist are produced by an AI language model (Anthropic Claude) and are provided for informational and workflow purposes only.

• AI-generated summaries may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or errors.
• You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying summaries before use.
• Synopsist summaries do not constitute financial, legal, or investment advice.
• Do not share AI-generated summaries with clients without reviewing them first.

You agree not to:

• Upload content that you do not have the right to process or share.
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable regulations.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the platform.
• Share your account credentials with unauthorized third parties.
• Upload content containing malware, harmful code, or personal data of minors.

What we send. If you switch calling on, Synopsist texts the mobile number you entered: a reply when you ask it to place a call, and lead alerts forwarded from your CRM. No marketing messages, and nothing to your clients.

How you join. You add your own number in the Calling section of your account and switch the feature on. Nobody else can add a number, and numbers are never bought or imported from a list.

Frequency and cost. Message frequency varies with how often you use the feature. Message and data rates may apply, charged by your own carrier. Synopsist does not charge for messages.

Stopping and help. Reply STOP to any message to stop them, START to resume, or HELP for help. You can also untick the box on the Calling page. Support: support@synopsist.ai.

Delivery. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages, and delivery cannot be guaranteed.

Connecting a mailbox is optional. While it is connected, Synopsist may send summaries from your address and may read messages involving people on your client list, as set out in the Privacy Policy. Messages involving anyone else are ignored.

The connection is held by Unipile, who act as our processor. You can disconnect at any time in Synopsist, which removes the connection at Unipile as well.

You are responsible for ensuring you are permitted to connect the mailbox — if it belongs to an employer or is subject to a supervision or archiving obligation, check before connecting it.

Your use of Synopsist is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. You retain ownership of all content you upload. By using the platform, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the service.

Synopsist, its logo, and all underlying software are the property of Mestor Technologies LLC. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you. Generated summaries become your property upon creation.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, harmful, or abusive behavior. You may cancel your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted immediately.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mestor Technologies LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Synopsist, including but not limited to errors in AI-generated summaries, loss of data, or business interruption. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Synopsist is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated summaries will be accurate or complete.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Virginia.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
